SEED SALES – CENTRAL IOWA 

Merschman Seeds, Inc. located in West Point, Iowa, is a 54 year old established and family owned seed company which specializes in Hybrid Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Alfalfa and Forages Seeds, is accepting applications for an Area Sales Manager position to establish new and maintain existing seed dealers and customers for a central Iowa territory located north of Des Moines, Iowa and east and west of Interstate I-35. Compensation package can be a choice of straight commission as an independent contractor or as a full time employee. 

Employee compensation would include a base salary, depending upon experience and education, plus increase bonus. Merschman Seeds, Inc.  will furnish a Toyota Tundra pickup for company use plus incidental travel expense, Dell Laptop computer, LCD projector, paid high speed internet connection, smart phone allowance for voice and data, two weeks paid vacation, 8 bonus days after one year, 50-50 cost share on a Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Savings Account, dental insurance, paid disability insurance, paid life insurance, and matching 401K retirement plan.  

Individual must have strong sales and dealer recruitment skills with an agronomy degree, CCA or equivalent experience with a proven track record; be a self starter; good public speaker; and be a team player. Computer skills are a must. Travel will include some nights out and irregular hours at times.

Compensation package can be a choice of straight commission as an independent contractor or as a full time employee.

Qualifications needed include CCA, agronomy or agriculture degree or equivalent, minimum of 2
years sales experience, computer skills, self-starter, team player, and willingness to travel daily.

Compensation includes straight commission paid per unit plus bonus for increase. No base salary.
