Merschman Brand Corn With YieldGard VT TripleTM Eligible For Participation In New Crop Insurance Program
BYE PROGRAM
West Point, IA - Dec. 27, 2007-Growers who purchase and plant at least 75 perccent of their
non-irrigated corn on the insured acres with YieldGard VT Triple or YieldGard Plus with Roundup
Ready Corn 2 hybrids. The program will initially be available to four states in 2008: Illinois,
Indiana, Iowa, and Minnesota with potential expansion to other states. The average total costs
of a policy premium will be reduced approximately 14 percent on the revenue assurance policies,
such as APH, CRC, and RA. On average this discount will amount to more than $2 per acre on the
grower-paid portion of the premium in the pilot geography.
The Merschman hybrids that qualify for the program are M-804C-10, M-806B-10, M-508C-10
M-510H-10, M-711E-10, M-512C-10, M-612D-10, M-314A-10, M-504B-7, M-604A-7,
M-509A-7, M-710E-7, M-811H-7, M-612D-7, and M-314A-7.
